PAWS MEALS ON WHEELS
Paws Meals on Wheels has been delivering supplemental pet food since 2014. We provide over 14,000 lbs. of free pet food monthly!
Our Pet Food Pantry has been providing supplemental pet food to Senior Citizens, Veterans and the Disabled, since 2018.
Volunteers are always welcome!
You Can HELP by Donating Dog & Cat Food. We accept all brands of wet & dry food including prescription diet. Dry cat food is ALWAYS needed!
LEGACY PROGRAM: Pet Sanctuary
WE ARE A SANCTUARY, NOT A SHELTER, WE DO NOT TAKE IN IMMEDIATE SURRENDERS OR SHORT NOTICE SURRENDERS. The animals that come into our care are NOT adopted out and will live out the remainder of their lives on our sanctuary. Space is limited. Senior Citizens (& Veterans) MUST apply for our Legacy Program NOW to secure a place for your Pet(s) in the future.
Our Sanctuary has been caring for Pets surrendered by Senior Citizens & Veterans since 2014. Our Legacy Program was introduced in 2022. We require Senior Citizens to pre-register their Pet(s) before they become unable to care for their Pet(s)
Foster Parents are ALWAYS Needed (to help temporarily foster Senior Citizen's Pets).
Volunteers Needed with construction & building/grounds maintenance experience (Please, fill out Volunteer form).
PRECIOUS PAWS VET CARE FUND
Assisting low-income Senior Citizens & Veterans (residing in Indian River County Florida) with their beloved Pet's Medical Care Costs, since 2022.
THERAPY DOG PROGRAM
Providing Nationally Certified Therapy Dog Teams to Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Senior Centers, Law Enforcement & Schools since 2023.

Since 2019, all proceeds from FTLOP Thrift Store have been used to run our programs, which provide peace of mind to Senior citizens and their pets.

TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) Traps
Since 2024, we have been providing TNR Traps. We have traps available on loan for Indian River County Florida residents.

Scholarship
In 2020 we began offering a $1,000.00 Scholarship to be Awarded to a local high school senior going into an animal related field.

FOR THE LOVE OF PAWS
MISSION STATEMENT
A sanctuary for providing peace of mind to senior citizens when they can no longer care for their pets when going into Hospice, Memory Care, Nursing Homes, Assisted Living or Rehab; and have no one to care for their pet.
To provide lifetime sanctuary care for senior citizen's pets so they may live out their lives to some comparison to what they had prior to losing their senior owners. Our sanctuary is a country farm and cage-less.
To establish a pet food bank and partnership with local food banks to help those in need to keep their pets, instead of abandoning or surrendering them to local shelters for lack of food.
To develop and present programs that match pets and their senior citizen owner to their mutual benefit.
PURPOSE FOR WHICH CONTRIBUTIONS ARE USED
To provide lifetime sanctuary care for senior citizen's pets who have been surrendered by the senior citizen owner, who could no longer care for them due to health or financial issues.
To maintain a pet food pantry to distribute pet food to senior citizens in need, in partnership with local food banks distributing food to those in need.
