Foster Program
For The Love Of Paws provides peace of mind to Senior Citizens who can no longer care for their pet(s) due to being placed into Hospice, Memory Care, Assisted Living, Nursing Home, or undergoing a medical issue and temporarily cannot care for their pet(s) due to extended rehabilitation.
What we require of you in order to have your pet(s) placed into our Foster Program:
-Complete the enclosed application for approval.
-There is no charge, although Donations are always welcome.
If accepted as a foster, depending on recovery issues of the owner, all animals that are in our foster care program after 6 months will automatically be surrendered to For The Love Of Paws Senior Pet Sanctuary Inc. to live out the remainder of their years. These terms
are based on the physical and mental well being of Pet(s) after becoming accustomed to our For The Love Of Paws Senior Pet Sanctuary Inc. family and sanctuary. Owner agrees by these terms that all property ownership of Pet(s) is final.
Our Foster Program will provide temporary care for your pet(s) when you no longer can due to a temporary medical issue &/or rehabilitation.

CATS
To date our Sanctuary has 2 cottages that house cats surrendered to us by Senior Citizens. All the cats are now fur-ever sanctuary cats.
Each cat cottage also has a connected catio, which allows the cats to go in and out of a cat door to the outside. It is all contained. They are safe from predators and from wandering into the road.
DOGS
All permanent (or fur-ever) Legacy dogs currently sleep in our family home on the sanctuary. Most sleep on human beds. Those that cannot safely get on/off human beds sleep comfortably on dog beds, or blankets next to human beds. The dogs are able to run (or roam free) in our fenced in property. Our goal is to have all 5 acres properly fenced for the dog's safety.
Since the dogs live in our family home, we are only taking in a limited amount of dogs at a time. We do have future plans to build a Dog Bungalow, which will be a sheltered sleep area with option to go outside in fenced in area. Great for dogs who do not socialize well with other dogs. It will also allow us to offer more dogs a human bed or sofa to sleep on!
The dogs also go on vacation with us! We've taken them to the mountains, to a canyon, to the beach, and day trips like Bok Tower Gardens.

We are NOT a shelter. We specifically deal with senior citizens who have found themselves in a situation where they can no longer care for their pet, or have passed away, and had made plans for their pet prior, by signing up for our Legacy Program.
